If you have outdated seasonal offers, discontinued deals, or expired promo codes, you can archive the promo codes to deactivate them. Once the promo code is archived, it will no longer be available to you to schedule or visible to customers at checkout.
Archiving a promo code
Before you archive a promo code:
Review if you have any scheduled deals that are using the promo code, as archiving them will delete them
Confirm if the promo code is referenced in any active campaigns
If this is a high-volume promo code, consider letting it expire naturally instead of archiving
Make notes of the promo code details if you need them for future reference
Check if there are any active redemptions for the promo code
Follow the steps below to archive a promo code.
Click the 'PROMO CODES' tab located under 'DEALS' from your WM Admin dashboard.
Select the 'PROMO CODES' tab at the top left of the page.
Locate the promo code you would like to archive. Once located, navigate to the three grey dots on the right hand side of the promo code.
Click the three grey dots and select 'Archive.'
Next, click 'Archive promotion.'
Once a promo code is archived, you will only be able to view it under the 'Inactive' status.
Promo codes that were scheduled for a specific date range that has already passed will appear under the 'Expired' status. Archived promo codes will not be listed there.
Under the 'Inactive' status, you can unarchive promo codes by navigating to the Status column on the right hand side of the promo code and selecting 'Unarchive.'
