Boost Your Brand’s Reach: Setting Up WM Store
WM Store isn't just a menu; it’s a powerful conversion tool that turns website visitors into customers. By embedding WM Store, you bridge the gap between product discovery and a local purchase.
Choose Your Brand Experience
Before you start, decide which level of integration fits your brand strategy:
Dispensary Finder: A map-based view showing every local retailer currently stocking your products.
Product Finder: An interactive menu where users browse your catalog and find the closest store for specific items.
Full Ecommerce Package: The premium experience. Users can build a cart directly on your site and "check out" by sending the order to a nearby retailer.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
1. Initialize Your Store
Log in to your Weedmaps Admin Account.
Select WM Store from the left-hand navigation bar.
Click Get Started (or New Store if you’ve built one before).
Important: Under Business Type, ensure you select Brand.
2. Claim Your Identity
Enter a unique name for your brand to create your subdomain. This acts as the digital home for your menu (e.g., yourbrand.weedmaps.com).
Click Claim Store once you’ve found the perfect fit.
3. Sync Your Catalog & Features
Select your brand from the dropdown menu to sync your live Weedmaps data.
Listing Plus Users: Toggle on the Full Ecommerce Package to enable the native shopping cart experience.
Design: Choose a Store Theme that matches your brand colors. This will update map pins and UI buttons.
Dark Mode: Toggle this if your website has a dark aesthetic for a seamless visual blend.
4. Choose Your Integration Method
How do you want the store to appear to your customers?
Embedded (Recommended): Best for a seamless "Shop" page on your existing site.
Stand-alone: Best for "Link in Bio" social media profiles or if you don't have a main website yet.
5. Go Live
Enter the URL of the page where the store will live.
Select your Website Type (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify).
Copy the Snippet Code provided.
Paste this code into your website's backend (usually in an HTML or Code block).
