Once you create an online deal on Weedmaps, the promotion type (such as BOGO, % Off, or $ Off) becomes locked and cannot be modified in the deal edit screen. This is expected behavior and helps ensure consistency in how deals are presented to shoppers.

While you can’t change the promotion type from within the Online Deal editor, you can still update the promo code linked to the deal, just not from the deal edit screen.

That said, we strongly recommend creating a new deal from scratch rather than editing an existing one. Making edits can reset your SEO performance and disrupt analytics tracking.

1. Exit the Online Deal edit screen.

2. Go to the "Promo" tab in your dashboard.

3. Locate the promo code linked to your deal.

4. Click "Edit" next to that code.

From there, you can update the details, discount type, requirements, and visibility.

Please note that any changes you make to the promo code will apply to all deals using that code.
