How to create, edit, or search employees

Employee tab

Edit, search or create new drivers, dispatchers, or admin users.

Creating a new employee

  1. Click the blue Add Employee button

  2. You’ll be prompted to fill in basic Worker Details about the employee such as:

  • Name

  • Address

  • Birthday

  • Contact information


Once you have completed entering the Worker Details, begin assigning the WM Dispatch User Role and creating the WM Dispatch Login Profile Name & Password.

If you plan on having text enabled for the user, be sure to check the Verified box.

Roles

There are three (3) roles you’ll be able to select:

  • Driver

  • Dispatcher

  • Admin

Drivers: Will not have access to the WM Dispatch portal except to submit support tickets. They will have full access to the WM Dispatch App where they can receive delivery instructions.

  • Drivers will need to fill in their Base Details


Dispatchers: Will have access to managing and organizing the delivery jobs in addition to having access to monitoring the application.

Admins: Will get access to everything mentioned above however, they’ll also be able to manage employee and vehicle profiles, compliance settings, and more.

Base details

This is where you can enter the driver’s Employee ID or State Tracking ID. The base will be the location the driver gets jobs (orders) from. For profiles created as Dispatchers or Admins, no additional information will be needed.

License details

Where you can enter the driver’s license information.

How to add custom fields on your driver’s profile

You can create new fields for the Additional Details section from the Settings > Custom Attributes.


Editing a Drivers profile

Once the basic profile creation details have been filled in and you’ve saved the profile, you can edit the profile to begin assigning Vehicles to your drivers or uploading additional documentation to your employee’s profile.

  1. Hover over the employee’s name and a clickable edit icon will appear

  2. Click the edit icon
