Overview
A Branded/Verified Product shows that you are authorized by that Brand to carry their products. Branded products are goods that are listed on Weedmaps by their official manufacturers, distributors, or sellers (see the Weedmaps Brands Directory for a list of all Brands on Weedmaps).
Brand verifications
Branded products go through a verification process. When the Brand verifies that you are an official retailer of their products, those products are marked with a special blue checkmark badge.
Branded products are automatically submitted to the Brand for verification when saved. This will add the brand's official product details (photo, description, categories, and review) to your menu.
Requirements
The Brand and product need to be published on Weedmaps, and the product name on your listing needs to be identical to your POS inventory in order to be verified.
Make all changes to your menu from your POS; the updates sync with your Weedmaps menu automatically.
If you're not on the latest Live Menu integration with your POS platform, we recommend avoiding making changes to your menu through the Weedmaps Admin panel. Please inquire with your POS provider on how to verify products through your POS. Contact support at [email protected] if you don't know which Live Menu integration you are currently on.
Let's get started
After you log in to your Weedmaps Admin account, navigate to your menu:
From your Admin dashboard, select Menu and click +Menu Item.
Select the Branded Product option.In the Brand field, search for the Brand that's associated with the product by typing the name.
Choose the right Brand from the options that display.
Once you select a Brand, a drop-down listing all their current products appears.
Not all Brands are on Weedmaps. If you are unable to find the Brand that is associated with your product, you will need to set this product up as a Custom Product.
Consider asking your Brand vendor to join the Weedmaps ecosystem so you are able to verify your product with the Brand. Connect with us or contact your Account Manager directly for details.
In the Product field, search for the product by typing the name:
Choose the right product from the options that display.
Once you select a product, a preview with the product image and its description displays.
If a product does not appear on the drop-down, please contact your Brand representative and ask them to add it to their Brand page menu.
Set your Prices.
Price by weight — For products that come in multiple weights (Flower, Concentrates, Vape Pens, and so on).
Price by unit — For products that are sold individually (Edibles, Topicals, packaged products, and so forth).
Click +Sale to apply sales pricing.
At the top right of the screen, set the Availability of the product. The options shown in this section depend on the features and services of your account.
Publish Product — This allows you to set whether customers can see this item on your menu. Toggle the product on and off.
Enable Online Ordering — If you have WM Orders enabled, this allows you to set whether customers can add this item to their cart. Toggle the product on and off from being available for order requests.
Recreational — Click if the product is available for recreational customers.
Medical — Click if the product is available for medical patients only.
Enter the potency of the Cannabinoids for the product. You can enter the cannabinoid percentages for Flower, Concentrates, and Vape Pens only.
THC % — Type in the product's THC percentage.
CBD % — Type in the product's CBD percentage, if any.
Review the product information and click Save.
Click Discard to cancel any changes you've made.
If you have the Publish Product switch toggled to on/enabled, your product will display immediately on your menu when you click Save.
If you want to showcase this item — whether it's new to your menu, or in hot demand with your customers — you can set this as a Featured Product to display at the top of your menu.
