Brand Product Linking connects dispensary and delivery menu items directly to an official Weedmaps Brand Catalog. Once linked, product listings automatically inherit verified brand photography, official names, descriptions, and cannabinoid profiles.
Linking menu items also grants priority sorting on your retailer menu, ensures visibility when consumers filter by brand, and improves overall sales tracking accuracy across the platform.
Note: To link a product, the brand must have an active, published profile on Weedmaps, and the specific product must exist within their master catalog.

Step-by-Step Instructions: How to Link a Product
Log in to Weedmaps Admin.
Select the Listings tab from the left navigation menu, locate your dispensary or delivery service, and click Edit.
Click Menu at the top of the screen to open your menu manager.
Locate the specific item you want to link and click the grey pencil icon to edit.
Select Branded Product as the item type.
In the Brand and Product fields, search for and select the corresponding brand and official product name.
Input the product's Price by weight or Price by unit.
Configure Availability Settings:
Publish Product: Toggle ON to make the item visible to shoppers on your live menu.
Enable Online Ordering: (If WM Orders is enabled) Toggle ON to allow customers to add the item to their digital cart for pickup or delivery.
Recreational / Medical: Select the appropriate customer eligibility options for your listing.
Input the THC and CBD percentage or milligram values under Cannabinoids. (Tip: Enable Auto-tagging to allow Weedmaps to automatically input potency details based on official product specifications).
Click Save at the bottom right corner of the page.
Checking Link Status
Once saved, the product will update in your Admin dashboard. Once the match is active, the item will display as (Brand) under the Brand column in your Weedmaps Admin menu table.

Audit POS Mappings Regularly
If using a Point of Sale (POS) integration, regularly check your menu mapping in Weedmaps Admin to ensure newly synced inventory items are properly matched to official brand catalog entries.
Clear Unlinked Menu Items
Periodically review unlinked menu items and map them to master brand catalogs to maximize search visibility and menu ranking.
