Cash & Money Orders (Cash Compliance Program)
Federal regulations require businesses to report cash transactions that meet or exceed federal reporting thresholds:
Required Documentation: When paying via cash or money order, you will be required to provide additional business identification and tax details (e.g., Taxpayer Identification Number / EIN).
The collected information is used to complete IRS Form 8300 (Report of Cash Payments Over $10,000 Received in a Trade or Business) in accordance with federal tax law.
In-Person Cash Payments: Cash payments are subject to prior approval and compliance verification through your Weedmaps Representative or Billing Specialist.
