With the creative library and creative scheduler, you have control and flexibility to create and run the ads you want, when you want.

Read on for a walkthrough of the creative library and the creative scheduler!

Creative Library

Manage, create, and submit new creatives for approval

To access your creative library, click the “Advertising” dropdown within your WM Admin navigation bar.

Your creative library is a central hub for all the creatives you have designed for your display ads.

You can easily search by creative name or ID or dive into tabs for creatives that are:

  • Approved

  • Needs revision

  • Submitted

  • Ready to submit

  • Draft

  • Expired

Designing your creatives & submitting creatives for approval

When you’re ready to put together a new creative, click the “Design new creative” button.

Step 1: Name

With step 1, choose a name for the new creative and choose a listing to associate it with.

Please note, the creative must match the listing that the campaign was booked under. If you have multiple accounts the parent account is automatically selected. You will have to update accordingly if that parent account does not match the listing for your campaign.

Step 2: Placement

In step 2 you can choose a placement, between the hero banner, promo tile, and search banner.

Step 3: Design

Start to create your design! All your edits and changes will be reflected in the Previews below.

You can add a background image, a product image or logo, and change the background color to suit your needs.

Step 4: Details

After building the structure of your creative, you can now add all your defining details.

Add your headline & subtitle, adjust the colors, and select the state you’re running your ad in.

Step 5: Destination

Select a destination for users to land upon when clicking on the ad.

You can link to the following destinations:

  • A listing

  • A deal

  • A brand

  • A custom Weedmaps URL

It’s important to meet shopper’s expectations when clicking on your ad. If your ad is about a specific deal, it is recommended to link to that specific deal.

Please note, adding a destination link in Step 5 is required in order to move onto the Final review.

Step 6: Final Review

With that, you’ve designed a creative.

Remember you can always go back to any of the previous steps to make changes before saving and submitting your final version.

Clicking “Save & close” will save this creative in its current state within the Drafts tab of your Creative Library. You can return to it at any time.

Clicking “Submit for review” will send this creative to the Weedmaps Ads team for approval.

The average review time for our Ads team is minutes (during business hours). At peak volumes, like the beginning of the month or during holidays, the average review time may be higher. Please check back soon after you’ve submitted your creative to view the status, Approved or Rejected.

Rejected creatives

After you have submitted your creative for review, it is sent to our Weedmaps Ads team for them to ensure that your creative is following guidelines.

If your creative gets rejected, it will be moved to the Needs revision tab in your Creative Library.

The Needs revision tab will display all creatives that are in need of adjustments before they can be approved by our Ads team. Within each creative in the Needs revision tab, you will find the reason why your creative was denied in red text, so you can correct the issue and resubmit for approval.

Creative Scheduler

How to schedule your display ad flights

To access your creative scheduler, click the “Advertising” dropdown within your WM Admin navigation bar.

Your scheduled ads

Here you can find all the ads you have scheduled to run and their status.

Selecting a certain month & year will display flights that are scheduled to run during that month.

Adding a creative to an existing ad flight

When clicking on a specific flight, you now have the opportunity to schedule additional creatives within your flight start and end dates.

Remember, within your creative scheduler, you only have access to the Approved creatives from your creative library.

The list of creatives within the Add creative screen only shows only approved creatives for that specific placement.

To choose a creative, select it and then click “Apply”.

You can only select one creative at a time.

Simply click “Save changes” and you’ll have slotted your additional creative into the selected date!
