If you have items on your menu that are categorized under vape pens, you may notice that the entire Vape Pens category is missing from the Weedmaps iOS app. This is because of the App Store Guidelines, which state: “Apps that encourage consumption of tobacco and vape products, illegal drugs, or excessive amounts of alcohol are not permitted on the App Store.”
Apple's moratorium includes any cannabis language, image, or symbolism from being searched for and/or viewed inside your Weedmaps iOS application.
Consumers can find the Vape Pens category from an iOS device by using a mobile browser and going to weedmaps.com instead of using the app.
