Promotion codes allow customers to apply discounts to their cart at checkout and are a great way to incentivize price-sensitive consumers.

Promo codes will display on your listing menu and appear in your customers' carts at checkout. Create promo codes for all in-store discounts so customers can discover and shop your fire discounts online.

WM Orders need to be enabled to offer promo codes, so please get in touch with our Support team if you're not WM Orders enabled.

Creating a promo code

Let's walk through the steps below to create your custom promo code.

1. Log in to your WM Admin account.

2. Select the Deals tab from the left navigation menu.

3. From the dropdown, click Promo Codes.

4. Click + Promotion in the top right corner.

5. Click Create a promo code button.

6. Enter the promo code text in the Promo code field (required). This is the text your customers will enter at checkout, so choose something that makes sense with the promotion you're offering.

NOTE: Your promo code displays in all caps no matter how you enter it.

EXAMPLE: "TOKEFEB30" or "tokefeb30" will work.

7. In the Add listings section (required), select all listings you want this promo code to be available. You can select specific listings or apply the discount to all your listings.

7. Choose the Promotion type:

  • Storewide: Offer a percentage or dollar amount off your customers' entire cart.

  • Products, brands, and category discount: Offer a discount on a specific set of

    products, brand(s) or category(s)

  • Buy X get Y: If a minimum quantity or purchase amount of a product, category, or brand is met, offer a percentage or dollar amount off. Additional options will appear to select the minimum threshold to meet, which product(s), brand(s), or category it applies to, and what the customer gets.

    • EXAMPLE: "Buy three edibles, get $10 off your entire order."

  • Free delivery: Offer free delivery. The order summary will display a strikethrough for the delivery fee cost.

8. In the Set Requirements section, you will customize your promotion requirements. The options available will differ based on the Promotion type you selected in the previous step.

Below is a list of possible requirements:

  • Applicable Products, Brands, or Categories that the customer must purchase to apply the promo.

  • The discount/reward the customer will receive if they meet the conditions defined (dollar amount off subtotal, percentage amount off subtotal, or dollar/percentage off specific products).

NOTE: If you select multiple listings, only products available across all the selected listings' menus will display as available options to add applicable products to your promo code.

9. Within Set Requirements you can choose to include Usage limits.

You can set a minimum purchase amount (dollars), limit how many times a customer can use the promotion, and how many times it can be applied:

  • Set a minimum purchase requirement to incentivize customers to add more products to their carts. Indicate the minimum purchase amount, in dollars, a customer needs to have in the cart to apply the promo code.

  • To avoid the risk of an overused promotion, select Limit number of times this promotion can be used in total or Limit to one use per customer.

NOTE: When a customer applies a promo code at checkout, it counts as one use.

Leave Limit to one use per customer unchecked for promotions that customers can use an unlimited number of times.

10. Select the dates your promo code will be active and available for customers to view and apply at checkout.

  • Select Indefinitely (promo code does not expire and will start today)to set your promotion to always-on without an end date. Keep in mind, that this promo code will be set live immediately after you confirm and save in the next step.

  • Select I prefer to set a start and end date to set specific start and dates for your promo code.

    • Every day: You can make your promo code available daily within the start and end dates.

    • Select days: Select which days of the week you would like this promo code to be available within the set start and end dates. This makes it easier to run recurring promo codes without manually scheduling promo codes weekly.

  • EXAMPLE: promo code schedule October 1 - October 31 and repeats every Thursday and Saturday for the month of October.

11. Click Confirm and Save.

🎉 Congratulations! 🎉 Your promo code is now scheduled and is now:

  • Ready for customers and patients to apply at checkout (as indicated by your select start and end dates)

  • Available to be added to an online deal

If the Confirm and Save button is disabled, check that you've completed each required field.
