Content guidelines for businesses
All content you post is subject to the Weedmaps Acceptable Use Policy, which is a part of the Weedmaps Commercial Terms of Use.
Advertisements
Advertisements for deals and discounts should only be in the designated areas of your listing. Listing avatars, logos, and images in the media tab that advertise deals, promotions, or discounts will be removed. Menu items must contain a product and should not be used to advertise a deal, promotion, or discount.
Inappropriate Sexual Content
Let's keep it PG, friends. Content that contains nudity or is explicitly sexual will be removed.
Intellectual Property
Don't use content owned by other sites, users, or businesses, including but not limited to logos or service marks of any third party. It's Weedmaps' policy, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, to disable, eliminate access to, or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly charged with infringing the intellectual property rights of others.
Misleading Content
Your content, including your listing information and promotional content, should reflect your business as it is registered with us and the applicable jurisdiction where you operate. Misleading branding or other business information that conflicts with the account and licensing details you have provided to us will be removed.
Non-Compliant Content
Items advertised on Weedmaps must comply with state/provincial and local rules and regulations or be subject to suspension or removal from the platform. Please check your local government website for your jurisdiction's rules and regulations - you are responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations that govern your business.
Not On-Brand
Weedmaps is a community of cannabis enthusiasts helping drive safe, convenient access for consumers and power cannabis legalization forward in ways that adhere to our core values. Ultimately we want our platform to offer helpful guidance and a feeling of comfort for the community. If the content on a listing doesn't adhere to our values, we'll remove it to keep Weedmaps a safe place rooted in the community.
Offensive Content
Weedmaps has users from all different backgrounds, so let's play nice. There's no place on our platform for offensive content such as slurs, hate speech, inappropriate language, threats/harassment, or other displays of bigotry.
Personal Information
Don't publicize people's personal information or post anyone's full name or other specific/identifiable descriptors that could reveal the person's identity.
Poaching
Personal business information, such as your website and phone number, should only appear in the designated areas of your listing. Communication with the customer should only pertain to their order placed through Weedmaps. Call-to-actions that influence the customer to order through a third party violate the Weedmaps Commercial Terms of Use.
