Weedmaps offers one type of POS integrations with Greenbits:
Live Menu Integration: Allows for a listing’s menu to be built directly from a POS Partner’s product and periodically synced to keep your Weedmaps menu up to-date
How to setup a live menu integration
Before getting started, make sure you have your Greenbits API key.
If you don't have your Greenbits API key, contact Greenbits at [email protected] with the following message and they'll reply with a unique key for each location in your account:
"We would like to have an API key generated for our Weedmaps menu. We are account <YOUR ACCOUNT NAME>."
NOTE: If you already have an integration in place, you'll need to disconnect it first. Follow these steps:
From WM Admin, find your business from the Listings page and click EDIT.
Go to the MENU tab.
Click POS Integrated.
Click Disconnect.
Confirm that you want to disconnect your existing integration.
You may need to refresh the page to make sure it's disconnected.
Once disconnected, you'll be able to follow the remaining steps to set up a new integration.
Log in to your WM Admin account.
Find your business from the Listings page and click EDIT.
Go to the MENU tab.
Click POS Integration.
From the Point of Sale dropdown, choose Greenbits.
Enter the below information for each field.
In the Integration options section, enter the minimum requirements for an item to appear on your menu.
Minimum Price: Menu items at or above this price are eligible to be published.
Minimum Quantity: Menu items at or above this quantity are eligible to be published.
When you’re finished, click Save.
Congratulations! Your integration will initiate and it could take up to 30 minutes to complete. When it does, your menu data is available on Weedmaps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this integration be used for hybrid listing menus with both medical and recreational items?
Yes, Weedmaps supports combined medical and recreational menus for hybrid listings with Greenbits.
After the initial setup is complete, how do I know the integration is working correctly?
While logged in to your Weedmaps Admin account, you can view the Sync Activity. This is where you can confirm whether or not there were any issues with your credentials or the overall setup process. The Sync Activity page is also where you can view the number of menu items that have been "crawled" as well as the number of new items added to your Weedmaps menu from Greenbits. This is the same page where you are alerted of any errors or issues regarding the sync activity.
Can I uninstall or pause this type of integration?
Yes, you can disconnect the integration if needed.
If I make changes to my menu via WM Admin, are those updates also reflected on my POS?
No. Any changes made to your menu via WM Admin only modify your Weedmaps menu, not your POS menu.
Do the product photos added via Greenbits carry over to my Weedmaps menu?
Yes, the product photos from Greenbits carry over into your Weedmaps menu.
When connecting my Weedmaps menu with Greenbits, is there any downtime?
Downtime is to be expected, but it is minimal. It takes only a few minutes for your Greenbits menu to load on Weedmaps. For larger menus, the downtime can take a bit longer (up to 30 minutes).
Some of the categories on Greenbits are different from Weedmaps. What categories will my products fall under when they move from Greenbits to Weedmaps?
Weedmaps has default category mapping (see the table below). When a Greenbits category isn't an exact match with a Weedmaps category, Weedmaps automatically checks the default category mapping generated by Greenbits. In the event that the default category mapping doesn't yield a match, the Weedmaps systems perform a search and attempt to match up categories based on text. When a match cannot be found via default category matching or text-matching, the product is placed in the Other category on Weedmaps.
Weedmaps Other category only supports unit-based pricing; it does not support weight-based pricing.
